Shelby County Youth Assistance Program – Proactively building a healthy community for tomorrow by advocating for the youth of today (shelbycountyyap.org) The Shelby County Youth Assistance Program is a free, voluntary program for children and their families focusing on preventative services. The Shelby County Youth Assistance Program seeks to identify children who may be at risk and to assist the child and family with meeting identified needs. Some of the services might include food and clothing assistance, mentoring, tutoring, counseling referrals, or participation in organized recreational/social opportunities for at-risk youth in Shelby County ages 3-17.
